Àmwi̊sh Se (/əm/ /wi̘ʃ/ [buttocks; ass] [certain; sure]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Màvēvāv Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Àmwi̊sh Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Àmwi̊sh Se was founded by H́iel̄ Wynney, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Àmwi̊sh Se has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Àmwi̊sh Se receives an average of 138 cm/y (54 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Àmwi̊sh Se covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2920 m (9580 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Àmwi̊sh Se was founded durring the late 13th century in summer of the year 1192, by H́iel̄ Wynney. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Àmwi̊sh Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Àmwi̊sh Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Àmwi̊sh Se is is constructed arround a semi-circular broad paverstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Àmwi̊sh Se's frontieer-style defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Àmwi̊sh Se has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Àmwi̊sh Se ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The locals seem to have responded to their slow downfall by recreating Àmwi̊sh Se as one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which the town brings to mind.

Civic Infrastructure

Àmwi̊sh Se has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Àmwi̊sh Se. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Àmwi̊sh Se's parks.

Àmwi̊sh Se has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Àmwi̊sh Se.

Àmwi̊sh Se has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Àmwi̊sh Se's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Àmwi̊sh Se possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Àmwi̊sh Se's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Àmwi̊sh Se's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Àmwi̊sh Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Àmwi̊sh Se's natural decorations nor waterways.

Àmwi̊sh Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Àmwi̊sh Se has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Àmwi̊sh Se is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Àmwi̊sh Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.

In Àmwi̊sh Se sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

Àmwi̊sh Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves bloodletting to channel Illusion energies of tier 3 via recitation of scripture.
